The editors at TheDailyMeal.com decided to find out what cities love America’s favorite foods–hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, pizza, ice cream, fried chicken and donuts–the most.

The Daily Meal named the top city for these foods based on the highest number of establishments devoted wholly or primarily to each of these American delights

So where does Chicago stand?

The city of Chicago takes the top spot for hot dogs (with 98 hot dog joints) and is a runner-up for pizza (number 2 with 747 pizzerias), fried chicken (number 4 with 67 fried chicken joints), ice cream (number 3 with 219 ice cream shops), and tacos (number 2 with 256 taquerias).
