Who will replace Rahm Emmanuel in the 5th District? Democrats vie for the job. Get Involved.

Jan. 30, 2008 – Rahm Emanuel has resigned from Congress to become President Obama's Chief of Staff. Fourteen Democratic candidates are now vying to replace him in congress in a special election primary on March 3. At this forum we will hear from these candidates on the many important issues facing our country.

The forum will be moderated by Lynn Sweet, D.C. bureau chief for the Chicago Sun-Times. Questions for the candidates can be submitted at the forum or at http://www.Illinois5th.com . Lynn Sweet will choose some of these questions for the forum.
