Tony Tasset’s 30-foot-tall EYE art installation is going into storage for now.

“Despite Chicago Loop Alliance Executive Director Ty Tabing’s speculation that buyers would secure Eye a permanent location downtown, the sculpture’s fate, for now, is to return to the Wisconsin factory where it was born. After a 250-mile ride north, Eye will hibernate at Sparta, Wis.-based F.A.S.T. Corp. through the winter.” according to Laura Viera.
