10th Ward Rally: Focus on Women and Children
Voting begins February 9th in Chicago and the Committee to Elect Olga Bautista as 10th Ward Alderman and the Chicago Chapter of the National Organization for Women (N.O.W. PAC) are promoting her candidacy with “Women and Children First!,” at The Community Speak-out and Rally is February 6th at is at 6:30 p.m. at the Crowbar, 4001 E. 106th Street.
Olga will be joined by Olivia Hernandez, Executive Director of the Juan Diego Community Center, Jose Garza of the Gallistel School LSC, Lillian Jimenez, labor lawyer and South Chicago Community Organizer and Special Guest,
La Shonda “Shonnie” Curry, Candidate for 7th Ward Alderman, among others.
The focus is on women and children’s issues in the 10th Ward: poverty, unemployment, discrimination, pollution and ill-health, the lack of services for our youth, the elderly and the infirm. And … there will be door prizes, a raffle, food and drink and games for the kids!
