Bai Ling, a Chinese-born American actress, has been a very controversial public figure in China. However, she visited Illinois last month for a short public appearance and talked about her journey from China to Hollywood and her recent film works. She was in the films The Crow, Crank: High Voltage, Star Wars, Wild Wild West, etc.
Bai Ling relates how she didn’t speak much English when she was filming the Crow, and met Brandon Lee.
