Park Manor Establishment “Bowled Over” in Storm

A recent storm caused the roofing support beam to give way and the roof collapsed on the lanes of Park Manor Bowl. The damage was severe and the bowling alley will be demolished. The owner has not discussed whether he will rebuild the bowling alley at this time. You can see pictures of the damage via Facebook.

Community Forum in the 8th Ward at the new South Shore International College Prep School

New high school, Southshore International Prep

There will be an 8th Ward community forum on Saturday, July 23 at South Shore International College Prep, 1955 E. 75th Street, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The main areas for discussion will be: safety, jobs, services and education. Your alderman strongly urges you to “please make every effort to attend this very important event. Please know that your attendance and participation are vital in the continued growth and development of the 8th Ward.”
