Chicago reacts to our new president

The morning after a historic election night, some Chicago residents seemed to be in a state of shock.

It might’ve been the middle of the week blues, or a lack of sleep from staying up to watch the results pour in, but there were barely any smiles seen this Wednesday morning in the Lakeview neighborhood. Cook County, which covers the Chicago area, voted 74.4 percent for the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton this year, a trend the county has been following for the past twenty years.

“It’s scary to think about right now, but I hope everyone would come together. But, it feels very divided,” said resident Zach Jesse.
