Meet Alderman Natashia Holmes at “Office Hours on Your Block” Series

Screen Shot 2014-06-26 at 11.33.34 AM Ald. Natashia L. Holmes (7th)  will kick-off a series of office hours on various blocks within the 7th Ward community during the summer. The series, called “I AM on YOUR BLOCK”, will target a single corner throughout the four neighborhoods that make up the 7th Ward – South Shore, South Chicago, Calumet Heights and Jeffery Manor.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet with the Alderman and her staff about city services and community concerns. CAPS officers from the 3rd or 4th Districts will also be present to address community policing issues.

”The idea behind ‘I AM on YOUR BLOCK’ is to provide another forum for residents to become engaged with the 7th Ward Public Service Office. While my office is open and accessible to every 7th Ward resident, I want to be certain that residents know I care about every block in every neighborhood in the 7th ward.  If, for some reason, you can’t make it to the office, I am going to do my best to come to your block,” said Holmes.

The “I AM on YOUR BLOCK” schedule :

  • June 27, 10:00am – 2:00pm at 2701 E. 74th Street near Arthur Ashe Park
  • Friday, July 18, 10:00am – 2:00pm at 2401 E. 100th Street near Jeffrey Manor Library

The 7th Ward is represented by Ald. Natashia L. Holmes. Holmes is a career expert in policy development, data analysis and project management. Prior to becoming Alderman, she worked for Metro Strategies, Inc. which provides planning, policy and public affairs services to public, private and nonprofit entities. She is an advocate for high quality education, and investment that promotes vibrant, healthy communities
