Justice Sonia Sotomayor to speak at Harold Washington Library

On January 30, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will appear to discuss her new memoir, My Beloved World, at Harold Washington Public Library at 6 pm.

Sotomayor is the  first Hispanic and third woman appointed to the United States Supreme Court. Her new book  recounts her journey from a Bronx housing project to the federal bench.

The event will take place in the library’s winter garden on the ninth floor, seating will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no registration required.

Books will be sold at the event, and Sotomayor will be signing autographs after the discussion.
