The 6th Annual Auburn Gresham 79th Street Renaissance Festival is this Saturday, 9.10.11. There will be lots of food, fun, and entertainment for all ages. Where is the center of the action? At the intersection of 79th Street and Racine Ave, Chicago, IL 60620 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
New this year to the 79th Street Renaissance Festival is St. Sabina’s Family Peace Jam. Highly-acclaimed Gospel artists will be raising their voices on high, at 79th Street. For the school-age crowd, there will be a book bag giveaway at the end of the festivities – and the bag is filled with school supplies.
Performing artists include Dorinda Clark Cole, Ricky Dillard & New G, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Dawkins & Dawkins, Kim Burrell, 21:03, Joshua’s Troop, Maurice Griffin, Cinque Cullar & 100 Voice Peace Choir and more.Farley Jackmaster Funk, the legendary house music DJ returns to help celebrate Auburn Gresham.
