Bargain-priced Book Sale Supports Literacy

The Open Boxes Sale at Open Books, 213 W. Institute Place, Chicago IL 60610 is coming up soon. You can browse happily, and buy single books, or boxes of books on Saturday and Sunday, March 5th and 6th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Browsing won’t cost you anything, and the prices for books are as low as $2 each, and you can buy a whole box for $30.

There will be more than 10,000 fiction, nonfiction and children’s books on sale. Inventory will be refreshed throughout the weekend so shop both days.

Note this a “Cash Only” sale, so better visit the ATM on your way.

If you haven’t been to Open Books, its in a nice storefront at Institute and Franklin. It is a nonprofit social venture that operates a used bookstore, provides community programs and mobilizes volunteers to promote literacy in the Chicago area.
