I love working at Gary Comer College Prep Middle School because of the grit and love for learning that resonates between scholars and teachers is inspiring. My strongest character strength would have to be grit, but I believe I embody zest, optimism, social intelligence, self-control, gratitude, curiosity, and zest! Future scholars would love being a part of Gary Comer College Prep Middle School because they will learn how to become better citizens, excel in academia, and exhibit self-discipline in every of their lives. Lastly, I am an educator, journalist, jewelry designer, and civil rights activist; board member of Alliance for Women in Media, Youth Counselor for the Mom and Me Camp, member of NABJ, as well as other roles in professional and community organizations.
